Interviews for final Selection of awardees under the Scheme of National Overseas Scholarship for SC etc. candidates for the Selection Year 2008-09

The applications received for award of scholarship under the Scheme of National Overseas Scholarship for SC etc. candidates for the selection year 2008-09 have been scrutinized by the Screening Committee and 75 candidates have been shortlisted.

2. The selected candidates are required to appear for interview before the Selection Committee on the dates, time and venue, mentioned below:-

  • 25.02.2010 (Thursday) at 02.00 P.M.
  • 26.02.2010 (Friday) at 10.00 A.M.
  • 27.02.2010 (Saturday) at 10.00 A.M.

in the Room No. 603,Conference Room, 'A' Wing, Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi.

The date-wise lists of 75 candidates, who have been selected to appear for the interview, are enclosed. Individual letters to the candidates conveying details of the interview have already been sent through SPEED POST.

3. The candidates are required to bring with them the following documents in ORIGINAL for scrutiny alongwith a self certified photocopy thereof:-

  1. Matriculation or its equivalent.
  2. Degrees and Diploma certificates at the Graduation, Post Graduation levels as the case may be, alongwith the relevant mark/gradation sheets, experience certificate, research papers, publications or any other document that has been referred in your application or to support your selection. It is also stated that your case would be taken up further subject to completion of relevant Bachelors' Degree/ Masters' Degree in First Class or 60(sixty) % marks or equivalent grade. You are, therefore, requested to furnish necessary Certificate/mark sheets in this regard at the time of interview.
  3. Caste Certificate from the District Magistrate/Collector or competent authority authorised to issue, in the prescribed proforma.
  4. Experience certificate duly signed by your Employer(s).
  5. No Objection Certificate from your employer for applying for the scholarship if not already forwarded with your application through the proper channel.
  6. In case you have applied under the landless agricultural labourer or traditional artisan category; you are required to produce the necessary certificate issued by the competent authority(ies).
  7. Income Certificate (in original) in the prescribed proforma from the appropriate authority both for you and your parents/guardians, as may be applicable.
  8. A write-up on the proposed course of study in not more than 500 words, if not already submitted.
